• Egypt is at the forefront of most cosmetic surgeries and procedures.
• Their medical industry is a world leader often setting the example in many medical fields.
• The latest Hair Transplant techniques have been used by specialists in Egypt.
• This means many private hospitals and technicians have honed their craft and changed the lives of hundreds of thousands of men and women looking to solve any hair-loss or balding issues.
Not only are the specialists the most experienced and talented, they also offer the same high quality treatments as in the UK but for a fraction of the cost! Due to this the cheaper price for a hair transplant can sometimes seem to good to be true but there are logical reasons. Firstly the cost of private medical fees in Egypt are very low, as well as having much lower labour costs. Secondly due to the strength of foreign currencies, like the British Pound and Euro, compared to the Egyptian Pound your money goes a lot further. As a result, their business costs are substantially lower and the motivation to offer good deals to tourists is high.
As well as hair transplants being cheap compared to patients home countries, Egypt’s geographical location helps appeal itself to UK and EU patients. Due to this, UK patients can travel easily and quickly for a hair transplant procedure without taking too much time out of their busy schedules.
If you have been researching for example Turkey hair transplant cost, you may be shocked by the difference in prices between what look like identical procedures. Conversely, you may be wondering why procedures in countries like Egypt can be so inexpensive, and this may lead you to wonder whether this is some type of sub-standard method of hair restoration.
The truth is, that great hair transplants can be had in both Turkey, the UK and Egypt and the difference in price doesn’t necessarily reflect the quality of the treatment. Here’s why the UK is so expensive compared to hair transplants in other countries:
The UK and Turkey are a more expensive places to live and work than many countries. Wages are higher, and so are taxes. Crucially, cosmetic surgeons tend to serve the community that they live amongst, rather than tourists. This means that they need to be located accessibly, and to project some air of success and dignity, in order to be taken seriously. This means that the location of the clinic is incredibly important – and therefore expensive!
1. To increase confidence and self-esteem.
Hair loss isn't just a physical suffering. It can greatly affect self-esteem, which impacts many different areas of life, including how attractive you feel, your confidence during job interviews, and sexuality. A hair transplant procedure can be a great way to gain confidence back.
2. This is hair that eliminates baldness.
Hair transplantation is widely considered to be the most effective option for restoring hair because it's a relatively simple procedure, and it achieves a natural look. During a hair transplant procedure, our doctor moves healthy hair follicles from one location and relocates them to the area of the head that’s thin or bald. Since the transplanted hairs are already resistant to the DHT hormone that causes hair loss, they will not thin or fall out in the future.
3. Better aesthetics and styling capabilities.
Most guys will cut their hair short because they do not have enough hair to cover and style well. A hair transplant will give you more options for styling your hair the way that you want.
4. A hair transplant is a “natural” process.
A hair transplant uses YOUR hair. No chemicals, weaves or cover up products are used. Unlike hairpieces which may not exactly match your hair color and type, hair transplantation looks completely natural because it is your own hair—just moved to a new spot.
5. A hair transplant is more cost effective.
All other hair replacement processes like weaves, wigs, spray Ones, etc. need constant maintenance on a regular basis and the costs will continue to build and do not end.
How Can Hair Loss Be Treated in Women?
For thinning hair, some treatments can improve the condition of a woman’s hair, such as clinically nourishing the scalp with medicinal hair products and other experimental treatments.
If the issue is balding, hair restoration procedures are used to transplant hair follicles individually from the thicker areas to the thin areas in the front or top of the head. The process fills in patches of hair loss and results in a healthier and more youthful appearance.
Are Women Good Candidates for Hair Transplantation?
Here are some traits shared by women who are typically good candidates:
• Women who have suffered hair loss due to mechanical or traction nonhormonal (menopause) alopecia–that is when the immune system attacks hair follicles and causes hair loss
• Women who have had previous cosmetic or plastic surgery and are concerned about hair loss around the incision sites
• Women who have a distinct pattern of baldness, similar to that of male pattern baldness
• Women who suffer hair loss due to trauma, including burns, scarring from accidents, and chemical damage
• Women with alopecia marginalist (hair loss at the hairline)
Who Is Not A Good Candidate For A Women’s Hair Transplant?
Not all suffering from women’s hair loss are candidates for Hair Transplant surgery. All Hair Replacement techniques use the patient’s existing hair. Surgery aims to find the most productive uses for existing hair.
If someone has a low density of hair follicles, they will probably not be a good candidate for a Hair Transplant. You need to have a moderate-to-high level of hair density to transplant donor follicles across the scalp. You will need to consult a qualified plastic surgeon to determine if hair transplantation is right for you.
Are Hair Grafts For Women Effective?
Hair Transplants for women work well for candidates who have lost hair because of traction alopecia, trauma, or accidents, as well as plastic surgery patients who want to restore hair growth on their incision site areas.
How Many Hair Grafts Will I Need?
Generally, it’s usually anywhere from 600 grafts (for minimal hair loss) to 3,000 or more grafts (for extensive hair loss). You can identify your hair loss stage by using the Ludwig Scale, a method of classifying female pattern baldness.
Is a Female Hair Transplant Painful?
Thanks to advances in local anesthesia and post-operative care, hair transplants are not very painful. While no surgery can be completely painless, and some brief and temporary discomfort is to be expected, a hair transplant is typically a pleasant and easy experience for most female hair loss sufferers.
The Major Hair Replacement Surgeries
Over the past few decades, there have been several different types of hair transplants, also referred to as hair replacement surgeries. Some of these hair transplant procedures are no longer performed because of newer technologies and methodologies. Before you move forward with this life-transforming procedure, it would be helpful to you and your doctor to familiarize yourself with the available options based on your specific needs and decide which is best for you.
Scalp Reduction
In this procedure, a small scalp area is removed, and a nearby piece of skin containing healthy follicles is extended over the bald spot and stitched into place. Scalp reduction was once the most popular form of hair transplantation but has since been replaced by more modern methods.
Flap Surgery
This surgery is performed in stages over several weeks. The surgeon cuts around the donor area (where the healthy follicles are growing) on three sides, and the fourth side is extended over the bald spot and then stitched into place. Like Scalp Reduction, Flap Surgery is rarely performed today and has been replaced by more effective, far less invasive techniques.
Tissue Expansion
This surgery is meant for severe baldness or baldness caused by burn injuries and involves several factors: • The surgeon inserts a balloon-shaped implant called a “tissue expander” under a part of the scalp where hair is still growing.• Over the next few weeks, the tissue expander is gradually inflated to stretch the skin.• The surgeon then covers the bald area with the extended skin.
Hair Grafting Hair
Hair Transplantation – or Hair Grafting – has replaced most other techniques – it is faster, safer, and gets the best results. There are two industry-leading procedures for hair grafting:
Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE)
Follicular Unit Extraction involves trimming the back of the patient’s head – with the patient under local anesthesia, the surgeon collects individual hair follicles from the shaven area. Tiny incisions are made in the scalp, and the individual follicles harvested from the shaven area are inserted into the incisions. The surgical site is then bandaged or covered with gauze. A Manual FUE is performed by a physician using a hand-held device to extract the individual hair follicles. The robotic FUE procedure uses an automated hair transplant device guided by a physician. In this procedure, the doctor only selects the follicles to be transplanted and grafted; the robot does the actual harvesting.
Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT)
The Follicular Unit Transplantation, performed entirely with the patient under local anesthesia, involves removing a strip of scalp from the back of the patient’s head; the area is then closed with stitches. The surgeon divides the strip into smaller sections and isolates the hair follicles. These smaller pieces are the grafts that will be used to transplant hair. With a surgical needle or blade and a microscope, the surgeon makes tiny holes in the patient’s scalp where the grafts are to be transplanted – the grafts are inserted directly into the holes. Finally, the surgical site is covered with gauze or bandages
